  1. I was going through my followers yesterday so I could follow back if appropriate. I came across your blog and I LOVE it. I have a 2 year old and am always out of ideas for what to do. This is so great and I will be reading more into it. I love Dr. Seuss also. But i have a question. What do you do with one who will not sit still for books. I usually just keep reading anyway. He has always been this way so I am not sure how to change it. I love books and have been an avid reader since I was 3.5 so I really want my child to love them too.

  2. Thanks for your sweet compliment, Shana! As far as not being able to sit still for a story, I would just keep doing what you're doing. Keep reading, or take up another activity! Eventually, he will set through a book!

  3. I had the same problem with one of my kids. I found you have to find the type of book they will enjoy and then their interest will evolve over time. For my child it was finding interactive books (stuff they can move and feel). I also found she would be more engaged by talking about the pix versus just reading the words. Today she loves book and has advanced reading skills for her age.
